From the very first day I met EQ Scorpio, I knew there was something special about him. He was only three years old when he came into my life, but he already showed a rare combination of energy, sensitivity, and intelligence. He wasn’t the easiest horse at first—in fact, his strong character and boundless energy made him quite a challenge—but that complexity is exactly what inspired me to work with him from the ground up, with patience and commitment.
My goal was never just to shape a high-performance horse, but to build a relationship based on trust and respect. Even at a young age, Scorpio displayed a natural talent for the sport, and over time, that promise began to translate into results. In 2023, at just four years old, and after 6 months of training, we competed in the USEA Young Event Horse Championship.
Scorpio had a promising start in eventing, but it quickly became clear that his natural scope and ease over fences pointed us in a different direction—one where he felt more comfortable and confident. That realization led us to shift our focus to pure show jumping. In 2025, we headed to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL, where we enjoyed a highly successful winter circuit.
Beyond the results, this horse has been a deeply personal and professional growth experience. Scorpio has taught me to be a more mindful rider—to listen more, adapt more, and lead with clarity. Today, we continue working side by side, refining every phase of the sport and preparing for even greater challenges on the international stage.
My dream is to take Scorpio to the top levels of the sport, proudly representing Peru in major competitions and proving that with dedication and vision, it’s possible to shape champions from the very beginning. This journey is a story of evolution, trust, and passion—and we’re just getting started.
